Ultra-Sonic Knife and Holder
Carlson Design has developed an ultra-sonic knife holder mount for our multi-tool head. The ultra-Sonic knife vibrates it's blade at a very high frequency to cut thicker material like corrugated cardboard, rubber gasket material, carpet, turf, and even some plastics. The vibrations can also be used to heat seal material edges for Sunbrella. The ultra-sonic blade is depth adjustable and uses disposable blades and is steered using your z axis, tangential control. Switching from standard magnetic tools to ultra-sonic takes only a few minutes. The ultra-sonic must be operated on a soft substrate like our porous no drill tops, carpet, or cardboard.
